Road trip, The Black Hills, SD April 27, 2013

If you follow me on twitter (twitter.com/brotheroutdoors) then you know I’ve been mentioning an upcoming road trip quite a bit the last week or two. Well that road trip was this past weekend to the Black Hills of South Dakota, Hill City to be exact. The weather couldnt have been more perfect than it was, especially after beginning the week with a snowstorm on Monday and Tuesday.

The plan was to of course go to Mount Rushmore, drive the Needles Highway, and spend time in Custer State Park and whatever else there was time for. If you know anything about me then you know that Mount Rushmore was tops on my list because of a few reasons but one of them being the Hitchcock movie “North by Northwest” starring Cary Grant. It’s one of my favorites.

Hill City, SD is about a 6 hour drive from Denver and an easy drive. Unfortunately the Needles Highway was closed this weekend, so I wasnt able to get any pictures this time, but here are a few pics from the weekend. Enjoy!
